Established in 2012, Viamultimédia Web Hosting belongs to Viamultimedia Web Agency based out of Trois-Rivières, Québec. Viamultimédia Web Hosting is specialized in web hosting, domain names, SSL certificates, dedicated servers, cloud servers, professional email services for individuals, organizations, businesses and unions.

Data Center

Where is the Viamultimedia Data Center?

Our canadian server are located in a Montreal based energy efficient, data center. By physically being based out of Canada, you will also benefit from increased visibility and fast response time.

Viamultimedia is deeply attached in being part of the economy of Quebec.

Customer Account

Can I create an account online?

Yes, you can create your web hosting account online, without having to call in; as long as you’re of legal age. It ca be done in a matter of minutes.

Once you’ve created your account, you will be redirected to it and able to begin discovering all of its functionalities as everything will be active and ready to go.

Will I received the information via Email?

YEs, once your account created, you will receive everything by email.

If after 30 minutes, you still haven’t received anything, please contact us.

Is my customer account secure?

Yes, you you can rest assured that your customer account is safe and secure. We have two (2) SSL certificate in place: one for the server and another for the Viamultimédia website.

This secured connection can be seen by the lock next to the URL in the navigation bar of your browser.

What is included in my customer account?

In your customer account, you will find the following:

  • My Dashboard
  • My Services (Web hosting plans)
  • My Domain Names
  • My Invoices
  • My Emails
  • Mes commissions (si vous participez au programme affilié)
  • My support tickets
  • Order new products and services
  • Accès au portail client de manière générale
  • Webmail and cPanel access

Can I change my password?

Yes, simply go here to to login, then click on “Forgotten password?”. Follow the instructions.

Can I be a customer even if I'm based outside of Quebec?

Yes, you can create an account with Viamultimédia no mnatter where you are located. Although you will need to choose the appropriate currency.

Web Hosting Plans

Can I order a web hosting plan online?

Yes, you can order a web hosting directly online. Simply choose the plan that seems to fit best your needs and complete your order.

Can I order multiple plans in the same account?

Yes, you can order multiple plans in the same account by creating a new order for another domain name. All plans will be listed underMy Services.

How long does it take before the plan is up and running?

Once we’ve received your order and payment, the activation will be completed in the following 24 hours following your order.

You also need to consider the take it takes for your domain name to be activated or propagated.

To verifiy the status of your plan, simply log into your account and go to My Services.

Will I received the FTP / CPanel configuration information by Email?

Yes, once your plan is activated your will receive an Email with the following:

  • Plan details
  • FTP and Cpanel information
  • Server information
  • Email information

With my plan, can I configure the emails associated with my domain name?

Yes, once you’ve selected your plan, a number of Email addresses will be allocated to your account. Simply log into your cPanel, select the Emails tab and everything will be ready to be configured.

In your customer account, under My Products & Services, you’ll be manage to partially mangage your cPanel without login in by clicking Manage. This will allow you to create new emails without going into your cPanel.

How can I cancel an active plan by respecting the terms and conditions?

A customer can ask his contract to be terminated within the last 30 days of his current contract. Terminating one’s account without notice will result in a fee of 90$ when not respecting the 30 days grave period.

Domain Names

Can I reserve or transfer a domain name with Viamultimédia?

Yes, you can reserve a new domain name with available add-ons via our application form.

For domain transfers, you are required to complete an order by including the domain name information along with the EPP key.

You will be notified as soon as the registration or transfer will be enabled.

Can I buy a domaine name with Viamultimédia without selecting a plan?

Yes, once your domain name is enabled, you can manage and edit the DNS information to point to the selected web hosting company’s servers.

How long does it take for a domain name to be active?

Once payment has been received, the activation and propagation of your domain name can take up to 48 hours. to verify the status of your registration, go into your customer account under the section My Domains.

Can I change the DNS information of a domain name registered with Viamultimédia?

Yes, under the My domains section of your account, you’ll see all of your transferred and/or registered domain names. Each will have their own scroll bar and you need to click on Manage Nameservers, and then fill out the accurate DNS information.

Can I point my DNS information from another registrar to Viamultimédia?

Yes, after configuring or migrating your website with us, log in your registrar account and add the following DNS information (or DNS information found in your web hosting email) :

  • ns1.viamultimedia.ca
  • ns2.viamultimedia.ca
  • ns3.viamultimedia.ca
  • ns4.viamultimedia.ca

The propagation can take up to 48 hours. As a rule, it normally takes an average of 4 hours maximum.

Billing and payment methods

Can I view or print my invoices?

Yes, log into your customer account and click on My Invoices.

All invoices will be displayed in a PDF format. The options print or download will also be possible. You can also consult the payment status. (Ex: Payée).

What is the billing cycle?

We offer a yearly billing cycle for all our products and services. It begins the same day as the order.

What are the payment method available?

We offer a safe and secure payment method via credit card.

Are payment secured?

Yes payments are processed via a secured software called Stripes.

Which currencies are available?

Viamultimédia accepts the following currencies: Canadian Dollar (CAD), American Dollar (USD), the Euro (EUR) and Sterling (GPD).

If I open a support ticket, how long does it take to get an answer?

There’s no timeframe we can guarantee an answer, but rest assured we answer as quickly as we can.

The average answer to a support ticket is usually a maximum of two (2) hours.
